I got the car two years ago and had some body work done. They disconnected the radio. I entered what I thought was the security code. It didn't work. The manual says I need to take it to a Mazda dealer to have it reset...is there a code or a reset button..come on. The car is 15 years old. I don't want to pay a dealer to push a button in the back. Happy Trails with the wind in your hair!

  1. yes they will just push some button,,on that year Mazda tech are allowed to ,or are given a security code which is confidential,,so they don't have to bother calling the factory ,at that time,,,,if your lucky they might still have the code book,,

now they have to log in the mazda web to get all the number to press on your radio,,

so you don't have a choice if you want your radio back,,

  2. Read the article in the link.

  3. I'm sure you can find a dealer that will do it for you for free. Ask a member of the Miata club.
