  1. as long as the weather is dry you can help by warming up the paint. This means standing the pot of paint in boiling water Do Not Put Paint On Stove !!

  2. The only other answer to this question is to hire professional

marine services.  Clearly tommy t has too many qualification

issues to resolve before laying hand upon anti foul choices.

  3. Phone the manufacturers helpline..As a rough guide paint should not generally be applied in temperatures of 5 degrees or less it does not dry properly, if you can get her into dry dock it might help or better still into a boathouse as I'm sure you know...Good luck

  4. Most paints tend to thicken when the temperature drops,I know that plastering bitumen on my narrow boat hull is best done in the summer, the instructions on the tin should give a manufacturers advice o application techniques,if not there should at least be a phone number on it for you to phone for advice,,

  5. International Trilux anti foul paint is what I used last weekend.  On the tin it says that at 5 degrees C, it will be touch dry in about an hour and be OK to recoat after 16 hours.

  6. Please....

You read well enough to get online and type....

Read the Can...or contact the manufacturer.

We don't know which of the 100s of available Anti-fouling Paints you are refering to or what area you are in...as in fresh or salt water.

Really, it depends on the evaporative qualities of the coating you have chosen.

  7. It should say "what it exactly does on the tin"

  8. If you are on a slip, get it on nice and thick, it will remain tacky till the water hits it

  9. here's a video on how to paint a boat.

  10. santa?

  11. Generally, anti-fouling is quite a tolerant paint-though your main problem at this time of year will be getting the bottom of the boat dry enough if you are trying to paint between tides. If the boat is lifted out or on a trailer, check the maximum time until immersion for the paint you are using - some are as low as 24hrs.-right up to 3 mths.
