  1. Here in Texas they let you paint the fire hydrant in your neighborhood .Also you can go up to county court house and see what they have to offer and choose one you like .

  2. Get a part ime job, work in your skoo cafeteria or office, or look up local events in your neighborhood and become involved plenty of volunteer services if you just look them up. In ohio playing a sport counts. see if it's available there too

  3. what?! only 20 hours?! To earn my IB Diploma I have to do 150hours! But here are some suggestions:

Go to the old people's home.

Go read books to small children in the library.

    Go volunteer at an elementary.

Are there any run-down facilities (i.e. an old tennis court?) Ask an official if you can "bring it back to life" [brings in loads of hours]

Be a volunteer lifeguard at a local pool.

Plant flowers, etc, by schools, elderly homes, neighborhoods, but make sure you have permission...afterall, you need a signature.

  4. I think it is awfully depressing, that high schools, and colleges have legislated community servic, and stripped it of its humanity....

  5. hospital

  6. just do it, homeless shelter a good start.

  7. Volunteering? Women's shelter, animal shelter, pick up trash, read to the elderly at a nursing home, tutoring young kids with their homework, hospitals use a lot of volunteers, there are lots of opportunities. Ask your guidance counselor for suggestions in your area.

  8. Go to a Hospital and  Tell them your are here to help, they will show you what you can do for the elderly. You will feel so great helping people that can't help them self. Have a smile on your face and some love in your heart and that will take you through this
