I need to re-establish the plumbing to my water filtration system,need layout from well to house?

unsure of brand, runs off well water, need plumbing diagram of complete system installation, 20-40 psi

  1. A pipe from the well to the house is pretty straight forward but a schematic for the complete system when you don't know the brand probably would have to be supplied by folks who did the original installations or perhaps previous owners who can remember the plumbing system.


  2. You should have a borehole pump and then I would suggest fitting a header tank above the pump. You can get a float switch in the tank to get the pump to fill it when it goes low. If you make the tank high enough (I would say about 10 feet) you will get enough pressure. Then you can fit your filter on the wall outside your house at the incoming point to the house and connect it to the tank with a pipe.

    Option two will be to run from the pump to the filter and have a presseure switch on the line if the pressure goes low the pump will come on. Otherwise you can fit a paddle flow switch on the water line and if the tap opens the water will flow and the pump will come on.

    My gran and my sister had the water header or reservoir system and my sister had the filter on the wall.
