  1. No Link for that!! You have to get the Microsoft Windows XP cd and insert that into your cd-rom. Restart the pc and keep on pressing delete button if you own a desktop pc and if you have a laptop follow the key they have given you to enter into the BIOS setup. You will enter the BIOS setup after you press the button. Then look for the option called "BOOT DEVICE PRIORITY" and select cd-rom as the first boot device and then press F10 to save it. Restart the pc and it will ask to press any key to boot from the cd-rom and it will boot from the cd. Then follow the instructions given as setup starts.

    Thank YOu

  2. yup do what the first guy said

  3. Python is right

  4. Put in your Windows XP disk and boot to it.  Format in NTFS format when it prompts you to and continue installing.

  5. It's extremely suspicious that you didn't get your XP and other disks from the person who sold you the PC.  That's actually illegal, and has been since 1976 (Federal Copyright Act of 1976). Nobody has a good reason for ignoring the law on that one.  It's not like it's a new law that was made yesterday.

Call the seller and demand your Windows XP and applications disks and documentation.  Don't threaten to report them, but if they don't cooperate, please do report them here:

If you bought a used PC from a friend, then you'll need to call microsoft and hope they take pity on you and not make you re-buy Windows again.  They will send you a new Windows XP disk if you have a valid license (a CoA sticker on your PC).  But you may need to jump through a few hoops for it.

For the moment, why do you need to reformat?  Can you make the system more stable by removing viruses and spyware?  If you can, try to save the current installation until you work things out with the seller or Microsoft.

When planning your reformat, try to make a list of the applications you use, so you can reinstall them later.  Here are good tools for that (for personal use only):
