A pen exploded on my daughters brand new outfit and I've heard of using hair spray but do her clothes need to be dry for that because they have been soaking in the sink for a while?

  1. The best way to remove ink from any type garment fabric is to soak it in milk.  Fill a large bowl with milk and soak the garment for about an hour then wash as usual.

  2. Rubbing alcohol.

Just rub it in on the material when it is dry.  If it's silk, I would test an inconspicuous area first, but I have never had a problem.

You can also use rubbing alcohol to remove ink based stains on carpets.

It will not harm the fabric and it works quickly every time.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Squeeze out the excess water and spry Windex on the ink stains.

Let the Windex soak into the garment for about 3 or 4 minutes and try washing as usual.  If this does not work, while still moist, rub the stains with Murphy's Soap and let stand for a few minutes then wash as usual.

    Hope it works!!

  4. I have sprayed with hair spray and washed normally. Trick is to drench the spot affected and wash right away. Good luck

  5. Hair spray does work-wet or dry.  Do make sure to put something under the stain while you drench it with the hair spray--it will bleed thru to whatever is under it--try old rag.  Good Luck!   +++

  6. Not sure if they Have to be dry.  I've always used the hairspray with the garment dry.

If hairspray doesn't work, try rubbing (Isopropyl alcohol ) alcohol.

  7. if they're white, use the clorox's bleach pen, for everything else, tide's stain remover pen
