you might want to try also your local post office or Court house that is if you are looking for a USC passport renewal

I'm assuming you're talking about your US passport.  Provided that it hasn't been expired long, you can do it by mail.  visit www.travel.state.gov for instructions.  You can also go to most post offices and apply there.  There is also a passport agency where you can apply in Denver.  I don't know if you are near Denver, because Colorado is a big state.
