I need to rent a surfboard in Tamarindo. What a good estimate of cost per day?

Going to visit for 5 days and would like to rent a oard...just trying to plan my trip on the cheap.

Right when u enter into town there will be a little surf shop on the left hand side. they have cheap prices, there good surfboards, and its easy access to the beach being right across the street. I always rent my boards there when i go into town there

You'll most likely have a few different places to choose from. The cost will most lilely be $10 bucks a day, maybe less...

I agree with the other answerer, I have seen rentals from $8-$15 per day.... depending a lot on when you go.

You should bring your own board if at all possible though... yes, it is a pain, and will cost $100 (total) on most airlines, but you wont have to worry about finding the proper size and shape for yourself.

You need to get insurance on it if you do bring your board. (mine was damaged by the airline, and insurance covered it)

But if that is not an option, you can certainly rent a board... for less then the cost of transporting yours.

Have fun... I wish I was going... but once per year is all I can do. ;(
