The bike was purchased in Spring 2001 but might be a 2000 model. A really big guy popped a wheelie on it several years ago and it's had a slight shimmy ever since. I've replaced the left crank arm three times. Someone finally told me the bracket was bad. They took it apart but the part number isn't listed on it. Diamondback customer service doesn't have an archive that far back so they can't tell me what part to use. Does anyone know what the replacement part number would be?

  1. Any bike shop can measure the BB shell on your bike and the spindle length of your old BB.

Shell will be either 68mm or 73mm Some bottom brackets will fit both.

Spindle length will be 110mm, 113mm or 118mm. (most common size in xc bikes)

  2. Tommy is right... any shop can measure it for you. I am certain, however, that it is a 118mm spindle length.
