I need to replace the valve cover gaskets on a Ford 302. What else could I do...

What else could I do, in addition to replacing the leaky gaskets,), that is cheap (less than 100 bucks), and fairly easy to do since I already have the covers off, that would increase performance?

I was thinking putting in a cold air intake, but that's a bit too expensive for me right now.

It's a stock 302 FI.

  1. in addition to the valve adjustment replace all vacume lines they likley are dry rotted.


  2. Check your valve adjustment and backlash at the rocker arms.

  3. if you're really want to stop oil leak change intake gaskit at the end of intake 302  5.0 engine

    all  have problem w rubber gaskit at each end of intake
