If you see a barrier as a challenge, then you will continue to strive for a solution or a way to overcome that barrier.

If you see a barrier as an obstacle, then you are far more likely to just give up and never try.

The Wright brothers saw the lack of wings as a challenge, and instead of deciding that flight would never happen, they went about making it happen in a different way - and changed the world.
