Its july, you know. So, you get plenty of time to save.

My suggestion is you open an INGDirect account. They pay you a little more interest than most banks and they can make it so its taken from your account every so often automatically.

2000 is not hard to save. Did you mean 20,000?

That other answer is insulting.  $2,000 may not be a lot to save to him, but to you it might be a lot.  That is $200 a month.  His suggestion of getting an ING Savings account isn't that bad, but you aren't going to get rich off the interest from a savings account and it isn't contribute that much to your overall savings of $2,000.

I have no idea what your budget is, or if you even have a source of income.  But you need to find a way to put $200 extra aside and not touch it.
