I need to search the history of certain property...?

I need to search the history of the apartment complex that I live in. On the third floor, above where we live, we have seen some Ghost and full-bodied apperitions that seem to haunt that arear at night. Does anyone know of any property search websites I could go to?

Check out the local Historic Society, old newspaper articles (local libraries usually keep these) and sometimes old police records are available if you're looking for the history of events of, or around, a property.
