There are rumors that the owner wants to sell the moving co. I paid for a move from Calif to Washington state. I bought damage/loss insurance but it appears that the moving co pocketed the insurance premiums and never bought any insurance. The owner and the moving co. are stonewalling me--refusing to send an insurance adjuster and refusing to pay for the loss and damage. Yeah I wrote to them by certified mail.

  1. Well that is going to depend on the type of organization he has the company set up as. You should get an attorney so they may research the company to see, where the money is at, and if it can be reached.

  2. Yes, you should find a lawyer and sue.  If the amounts are low enough, you may be able to sue (without a lawyer) in small claims court.   However, if you've never sued anyone before, you should really use a lawyer.
