  1. try a community college - it will be a lot cheaper there than a regular college

  2. I bet you are having a hard time. There are no AutoCAD only courses as far as I know. Besides that 1 course won't cut it. It takes tech school grads 2 years of study to learn almost everything about AutoCAD and that doesn't include playing with it at home (there is a low price version available only to students). I know...because I've been there. I'm an honors tech school grad with an AAS degree in CAD Technology.

You can learn AutoCAD at home if you have a copy of it. ..but AutoCAD is VERY expensive and can only be purchased directly from Autodesk or engineering supply shops (local resellers can be found via Autodesk's website). The LT version is much less expensive and has wider availability.

Whatever you do...DON'T download the hacked full versions from WAREZ sites. AutoCAD "talks" to the Autodesk servers to do a complete activation (hackers can't remove this). If the server doesn't recognize the activation code it will record your IP address. Then you WILL be hearing from Autodesk in regards to fines, jail time, etc for commiting software p****y. They are just as serious about it as Microsoft.

  3. finding a college? Umm well it depends on the specificness of the course as well as if its in your locality. But try looking for schools that are mainly for engineering. Its AUTOCAD so I don't think there is any online courses because the program is so expensive. But it kinda depends on the course but if its just a basic fulfillment course you should be able to find one.
