  1. It will cost you a fortune to have all your household stuff moved there.  It is better to take only personal things, and buy new household stuff there...it will be cheaper. There is no ferry from California to the EAST coast of Mexico.   There are moving companies who will do this, but the cost is unbelievable. You can drive there...it will take you about 7 days. Have you  read up on driving in Mexico? You MUST have an FM3 visa to be allowed to move household goods to Mexico.  Have you been to Cozumel?  Do you have all the info you need for moving to Mexico?  Do you know about the visa you wil need, car permit, etc.  I just get the feeling you just decided to up and move...there is a lot of preparation that must be done.  If you have specific questions, you may email me.

  2. Hi,

I only know about driving. However, I think shipping all your goods would work the best.

Driving, the best route is crossing the border in Texas and driving the East Coast of MExico. The roads from Arizona and California to the East Coast of Mexico are not very good. To drive will take you three days from the Texas Border. I don't recommend night driving, besides the roads there a number of other dangers.

    Good Luck
