  1. Your cell phone provider will not be able to help you without police involvement.  Blocked numbers do NOT show up on your bill.

  2. If this is a recurring problem you can forward your calls to a toll-free number which will reveal blocked IDs.

When I need to bust a private caller I forward unanswered calls to a toll-free number instead of voicemail deposit. Then don't answer private calls. Caller ID cannot be blocked to toll-free numbers.

You can use the toll-free provider's voicemail or forward the call to another line from there.

The toll-free provider I use is Kall8 which immediately sends an email with the caller's name (if available) and number. You can have this sent to your phone. This provider charges $2 a month and 6.9 cents a minute.

  3. Get the phone company involved.  That's one of the services you're paying for.

  4. If it is through your cell phone, go to the carrier website. For example, I have a verizon cell phone so I go to verizonwireless.com and log in. IF you don't have an account with your carrier than just create one. The site (atleast for verizon) allows you to view your usage- so you just click on call history and scroll down to the date that you got one of those obnoxious calls to find out what the number is. It doesn't matter that they called from a blocked number because the full 9 digits show up on your online account.
