I need to unlock a numbr from a bt landline that shows and unknown on my mobile,how do i do this?

whenever i get a telephon call from home it comes up on my mobile as unknown when i clearly have the number stored as home in my phone.hw d i get it so when someone from home calls me it comes up as home?

  1. If you registered the number as private (I assume that's what you mean by locked number), you can usually hit *82 before you dial, and the number will show up.  It may be different though depending on your phone company, you can always call them and find out how to do it.


  2. Your BT Landline must be listed as ex-directory, so even if the number is stored in your phone, it will not recognise it, because the number does not transmit. You need to make your landline available and no longer ex-directory, but that may increase numbers of sales calls and stuff, and list you in the public phone book.

    What you and your family can do, is call 1470 then the mobile number and the wil display it, so for example 147007.........
