  1. tell about not going to the olympics its big this summer and believable that you would what to go and see it. pick a sport you're interested in and find out who from the US participated tell about them. or choose swimming and michael phelps

Pick someplace you would have liked to have visited and research that place, then write all about the things you could have done there but didn't get to.  Someplace interesting like the Great Barrier Reef or a distant planet would be fun, and teachers love researching so should get you a good in with the teacher to start out the year.
