I need too convince my mom to let me get a cat?

weve had cats all my life and now we dont have any because my mom got rid of them. my mom says were not getting cats but i really like them. we have more animals(2 dogs, and an iguana, not to mention my 5 brothers and sisters) but i want a cat. can someone give me a detailed explanation of why my family should get a cat or 2 or 7 lol. DETAILED.

This worked perfectly for my cousin who now owns a ragdoll and me, I'm getting my Abyssinian kitten in January. (If you want a moggie just exclude the breeder bit) What you do is pick a breed and breeder, then tell your mum how you've suddenly taken a liking to that breed, then start to talk about them more and more and more until it drives your mum crazy and she if says yes start to do lots of house work and DON'T tell your siblings! After shes said yes continue to talk about them a lot but not as much, when your on the computer every time she walks past open a page with cats on it and be like "Look mum, isn't that cute!" It sounds pretty sucky but if your as desperate as i was, it's worth it. Good luck!!!

No I cannot think of one reason I could convince your mom to get a cat or 2 or 7 to add to everything/one she is already taking care of and cleaning up after.

You could try explaining to mom how you will take care of the cats you propose adding to the family and how you will be personally and financially responsible for them

Convince mom you will take the cat(s) to the vet for routine care, spay/neuter, and any time they show signs of illness. How will you pay Vet?  

Same deal goes for between 2-14 large bags of kitty litter (depending on the number of cats you are going for) you will buy every week, and litter boxes, which you will pay for and clean daily and change litter weekly.

You will need to convince mom that you can afford to buy enough high quality dry food for the number of cats you propose and that you will feed them properly; that means change the water bowls daily and wash the food dishes daily.

Educate yourself and reconsider. 7 is a lot of cats and sometimes they fight. Will you have male or female or both? will they be indoor or outdoor-access cats.

Did you convince mom you could afford to get at least 1 cat all its shots and spay/neuter?

Does mom really believe you will clean up the remains of any mice your cat kills?

What about cleaning up cat p**p that doesn't make it into the litter- box?

Do you still want7 cats?

Do you still want 1 cat?

Ok if mom says yes, you gotta take care of your cat.

Try saying this:

Mom, I know you said no cats but I really want one. What's the difference between a dog and a cat? I can take really good care of it and you will never have to feed it or scoop its litter box or even acknowledge it! Please, (try saying "mommy" here) I really want a Kitty!

FYI- I know it makes no sense, but longhair cats shed LESS than short hairs. I have no idea how that is, but look it up anywhere and I'm sure you'll find out for yourself. They do need more brushing though to keep away mats and tangles in their fur. Also, if your looking for a cheap kitten, try your local animal shelter. I got a kitty there for $50 which covered the price of the cat, having her fixed, her first shots, deworming and flea and tick treatments. I hope I helped and I really hope you get a cat! Good Luck!

They kill bugs that are in the house. Hopefully there isn't any law in your town that prevents to have only 3 animals to a house like our city does. And I want a hamster now!

Did you ever ask your mother W H Y you can't have a cat, rather than ask her "PLEASE PLEASE PLZ CAN I HAVE A CAT". Usually, they'll have a reason. I bet one of your 5 brothers or sisters has developed an allergy to the cat.

say there's so may cats at shelters and you can save a life cause if not they may die  try to get her to go to a shelter and show her a really cute kitty and make her hold it  and say you will take care of him and  a cat is the everyones best friend  lol  wats one more   show her your responsible

Petting them helps lower your blood pressure, good company, teach responsibility, source of entertainment, and of course, they catch mice.
