  1. Well pretty much anything that gets your heart hate and breathing up for extended periods of time will improve your cardiovascular endurance.

You can improve you leg strength, muscle and cardiovascular endurance by running stairs & hills.

  2. I KNOW YOU WILL BE A GOOD RUGBY PLAYER

  3. Hamza...what the h**l??

Well, you don't necessarily have to be a large person to play rugby. Second rowers in rugby can be quite skinny, it's an added advantage when it comes to lineouts because you're not too heavy to lift. Speed is important but only if you're playing in the backline on the wing or fullback or centre positions. You seem like a fairly smart gurl, so you gotta use your brains to make up for your lack of brawn. Speed, endurance etc. will come as you get fitter. If you are fit and healthy it does not matter how slow you are, you can run all day and night on that field. Rugby is a positional game meaning that if you are in the RIGHT position you'll be amazed at what you can pull off simply by good field-placement, use your smarts.

One way to get more explosive power off-the-mark:

Find a large, old tyre and a rope.

Tie one end of the rope to the tire and wrap the other end around your waist.

Do 5 15metre sprints every time you train, with the tyre trailing behind.

This will build explosive power in your thighs and calves.

Try calf - raises as well, stand on the edge of a step, heels over the edge so that you are only balancing on your toes.

Then proceed to raise yourself up on your toes then lower yourself so that your heels are past the step edge.

This will build strength in your calves, obviously.

The one other extrememly important body part you need, which must be stressed, is your core. The stomach muscles, lower back muscles etc. These need to be strong coz you'll be hit there alot and your core is pretty much involved in every action you do. Sit-ups, crunches, leg raises, bridges. etc.

  4. If you want to build up your legs... biking is a good way.. .running is probably the best way... playing rugby means a lot of running up and down the field. You can also do some leg weights in the gym. Do you like working out alone or with people? Find someone to do the workouts with you and you'll have someone to keep you focused. Rugby is a tough sport that require strength and endurance... I guess it depends on how bad you want it.
