1. GOATS MILK with some acidophilus in it you can find it at a grocery store or a health food store, feed bunnies every 12 hours 1-2 eye droppers full. Over feeding will kill bunnies. After u feed take a cotton ball or ur finger dip in warm water and rub bunnies genitals until they use bathroom. u must do this otherwise bunnies will die.Don't touch them a lot the bacteria on ur hands is not good for them, this means always was ur hands before u handle them. keep them in a box in a quiet place. no heating pads, they can keep themselves warm. Goat's milk u can find at wal mart, if u can't find acidophilus good yogurt will work fine they need the good batericas in it email is ith7713@yahoo.com

  2. are they still hairless and eyes closed? (3-5 days) it will be really tough to get them to feed but you can try with regular homo milk warmed slightly (not hot) and put in an eyedropper or syringe to try and drop some milk into their mouths and hope their suck instinct takes over.

not a vet but raised lots of rabbits

    Good luck./

  3. no. call a wildlife rescue and turn them over they probably wont live if you try to take care of them yourself. im sure you can find a number in the phoen book or online.

  4. n the rare situation that you have an orphaned bunny, such as when a wild bunny's mom is killed, or when a domestic rabbit refuses to care for her young, you may try feeding with Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR). Remember to feed ONLY TWICE A DAY. Overfeeding is a leading cause of death in these youngsters which results in fatal intestinal disease. Provide a soft nest area in a box with clean towels, and cover the babies so it is dark. Do not provide extra heat if the room temperature is at least 65 to 70o F because excessive heat can be fatal. If the room is cooler, then you may place a heating pad on a low setting under no more than HALF of the nest so the bunny can move to a cooler area if it gets too warm. If this is a wild rabbit, handle it ONLY when during feedings as excessive handling can be extremely stressful and potentially fatal.

You can use KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) available at most pet stores for the hand feeding formula. You can use regular goat's milk.

The following is a guideline for the daily amount to feed a wild bunny or a domestic bunny that will be approximately 5 lbs as an adult. You can increase the amounts as needed for larger breeds. Take the DAILY amount listed and divide it into two feedings.

For wild orphans, first check with your humane society and these contacts below to find a rehabber as they really need a professional: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.... (Wildlife Contacts)

Newborn to One week: 2 - 2+1/2 cc/ml each feeding (two feedings).

1-2 weeks: 5-7 cc/ml each feeding (two feedings) (depending on bunny, may be much LESS if smaller rabbit).

2-3 weeks: 7-13 cc/ml each feeding (two feedings). Domestic eyes open at about 10 days of age. Start introducing them to timothy and oat hay, pellets and water (always provide greens for wild ones)

3-6 weeks: 13-15 cc/ml each feeding (two feedings--again, may be LESS depending on size of rabbit! Domestics are weaned about 6 weeks.

  5. Cow Milk = Bad

Because it contains added sugars no matter what brand you buy from. Goat milk will do, however there is wildlife services that may be able to help you with your situation depending on the state.

  6. Please listen to The Vet Tech. Baby rabbits need very specialized care and have the best chance of survival with a wildlife rehab group. Call one in your area and they will give you instructions on how to best keep them alive until the rehab center can pick it up.

This is really not something that can easily be done by your average person. Please call a rehab center for help.
