I need video effects to edit my videos?

anyone knows how i can get something like "particle illusion" only free?

i dont know if this is waht you looking for, but i use Windows Movie Maker (available in vista and XP) to process mines.

In this prog, you can add the movie (avi, wmv, etc), and then add a "particle" effect (and many others effects too)
