I need workers comp.not 4 myself but 2 have just 2 work i don't have employees what do i do?

  1. Are you working in Louisiana as an employee of the company there?  If so, that company should have you covered on their workers comp policy.  

    If you are working there as a subcontractor, then you need to talk to whoever handles your company's business insurance.  In many states, workers comp policies are purchased by the company for the protection of their employees, but the policy does not cover the owners of the company.  The owners of a company would be covered under their own medical insurance and possibly under the company's liability insurance.

    Are you a contractor, subcontractor, temp, or employee?  And are you being paid personally or are checks made payable to a company owned by you?
