  1. Yahoo! gives you the player for free but, one way or another, you have to pay for the full version of a song.

All the songs you are seeing in the lists are in the Yahoo! Music Unlimited library, but since you aren't a subscriber you are only allowed to listen to :30 clips.

To play the the full version of the song on your computer, you must have a Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription, which is $8.99 per month, or $71.88 per year. If you want to play the songs on a compatible portable player, you have to subscribe to Yahoo! Music Unlimited To Go at $14.99 per month or $143.88 per year.

If you have a subscription you can play the full version of a song on your computer, but you can't burn it, nor can you burn the :30 clips. However, you can always purchase individual songs and albums for a per song or album fee, and you don't need a subcription to do so. (Look for the 'Buy' button when you're browsing the library.) These songs will come with a license that will allow you to burn the song to a CD.

  2. Everything above is absolutley correct but the price.  It's up to more like $150 a year, but it's still worth it in my opinion.  Where else could I get 15,000 songs by over 600 artists for a measly $150 a year
