i'm 20...this is my first time being charged with shoplifting...i didn't do anything but i knew the person i was with was stealing...what will happen to me if i get a lawyer?my court date is set to be sept 22

  1. just talk to your lwyer and dont say anything more about about your situation


  2. The same thing happened to my sister but she was a minor. She was just WITH the people who stole. She got diversion for 3 months nothing too big. But since your an adult they may just slap you with a fine the worst probation. Your not like going to jail or anything.
