I need your advice...?

i am having people do some work at my house and I would like to know if I am getting ripped off...if anyone could possibly tell me how much they would charge for these jobs I could compare them I have had some quotes that were lower but these guys seem to be good but I am still worried that they over charged me Coule you please let me know what you would charge. The jobs are: Installing a 10 x 8 foot deck, Staining the deck, mulching about 20 cubic yards, and for cleaning my house before I move. Please help me with some prices that you would charge me. Thank you to all who respond.

Roughly $6000 - with 2 or 3 guys working about 3-4 days.

If you have one contractor doing all of the jobs you describe, I would be really surprised.  You are leaving out to much information to get good answer.  Is this building new deck or just replacing decking boards. If you are getting  treated wood, most manufacturers recommend you wait at least a year before applying any type of sealant.  Last 20 cu yards of mulch is a lot of mulch. I would ask for references.

for the deck  2-3 grand not including materials depending on intricacies

staining  max. 500

cleaning house...depends on the amount of dirt..most cleaning companies charge 150-250 for gen cleaning...
