I got my period on June 28 - July 2nd.

I ovoluated on July 15th (i took a OPK and it came out positive). I was expecting my next period on July 26. My cycle is usually 28 days exact but I had D & C on June 10 - so I don't know if this causing my cycle to be out of whack. I am currently of cd31 and 14 days past ovulation. I took a pregnancy test (purchased online with my OPK's) yestarday morning and it came out negative.

what are you thoughts? could I be pregnant? should I purchase a more recognized pregnancy test? would I get an accurate read if it's not my first urine of the day?

  1. your cycle could be a little off due to the d & c, i would wait a day or 2 more and test with a 1st response test, and best to use 1st urine of the day as thats more accurate, good luck

  2. If you just had a D&C on June 10th, you shouldn't be trying for another one this soon.  It takes at least 2 months after a miscarriage for your uterus lining to get thick enough to sustain another pregnancy.  I would just test to be sure though.  Good luck!

  3. It's crazy...here you are, trying your darndest to get pregnant..and then on Yahoo answers, you see 13 year olds posting dumb questions about how they became pregnant and how they're so scared! *gasp*

It's almost a joke, really. My husband and I tried to conceive for a while year. Last year around Thanksgiving time, it finally happened. I think it wasn't happening for a whole year because I was stressing so much over it. I kept thinking about the baby. I kept counting days, researching my ovulation charts, reading about all kinds of crazy methods to conceive a child. I had baby on the brain. Finally in November last year, I gave up. I had a move to think about. I had to pack things, clothes, furniture...had to get an apartment, start paying new bills with my husband, make a road trip to our new state..things were hectic and I forgot about baby-making, and somewhere around that time, it happened. I think when you are anticipating a child, your body isn't going to respond only because of how the stress hormones are high even though you don't know it. And this can even put your cycle off. It sucks, really. I have some really helpful sites for you though..you should check them out:
