  1. Bingo-it is Amway under a different label. Humor her my friend, humor her. The big dream is a tough bubble to burst, and it will burst. Trust me, I did ACN for a few years, made a few thousand, and just couldn't sell my soul, which is pretty much what you have to do it mlm. I saw the Amway thing, and I've seen Quick Start ( my "friend" insisted it wasn't Amway). You can make money, but boy do your friends and neighbors end up running to the hills because, as you know, in order to "make it," you have to recruit and sell, and sell and sell....and then recruit some more....you have my sympathies.

  2. The Quixtar business model is very similar to Amway's except it uses the internet in an unconventional manner.  In North America you can only join Quixtar through the referral of an already established member known as an IBO (Independent Business Owner).

The way that Quixtar operates is that every IBO has access to selling Quixtar products through their website.  As an IBO you are encouraged to purchase as many Quixtar products as you can as well as simultaneously recruit more IBOs.

What happens is that your referrer gets a percentage or a commission from the products you purchase from Quixtar.  Likewise you will get a commission from the purchases of all your IBOs.  According to Quixtar your commission percentage depends on your IBO level within the company.  So, in theory, the more people you recruit the higher your level gets and the more commission you get.

Quixtar wants you to rely on one-on-one communication and word of mouth advertising.  This may have been fun and effective twenty years ago but in this day of e-mail, drive through any things, and internet ready cell phones who has time to listen to you talk about vitamins for hours.

Next, you need to realize that your entire income depends on how much stuff people in your down line will purchase.  Since Quixtar products are priced right around retail your commission is not going to support your family unless you can convince your down line into abandoning the conveniences of real stores and purchase all their goods from Quixtar.

So what you get is a situation where you're not allowed to properly advertise and have a need for people to purchase Quixtar products daily.  Quixtar also likes to reassert its credibility by pointing out all the name brand companies that it's partnered with.  The thing is that large corporations don't care who is selling for them as long as they are moving product, they make the money not you.

  3. Am sorry..Never heard about it.

  4. I and my husband were once part of the same mlm and yes it is hard to make it unless you get lots and lots of people to join with you. In the end we lost most of our friends due to having them behind us and we were the only ones who made money and it was not even close to the amount we spent. Tell her to look at selling ads for a web site that I sell for it is paid as you sell and you can make real money and keep your friends. good luck.........

  5. very hard to make money off of them.  You have never really heard about them, but they have been around for a very very very long time.  And people who have tried it will tell you that it's very difficult to make money.  As a matter of fact, your time spent could have been used more wisely at the bottle redemption.

  6. Quixtar is a North American branch of Amway Global.
