I need your thoughts on this topic. Tonight on the news I heard a story that I've heard before, about someone?

getting on the highway going in the wrong direction and killing themself along with others. I think it would be a wise use of tax dollars that I am OK with if they would put those tire bars on the exit ramps that flatten tires if you go the wrong way over them. Service people and police would know they are there and there is usually enough room to get around them but someone DUI would not be thinking about them. I mean the states have no problem putting up miles and miles of sound barriers to give people some piece and quiet with tax dollars so why not the tire bars. They would saves lives along with pain and suffering by survivors and family members and friends. I mean you never know when it might be you or a loved one who this might happen to and you can't put a price on human life. What do you think.

  1. Yeah, but the car would still be stuck on the on ramp with 4 blown out tires.

  2. nice thought BUT i'd rather see that money go towards bringing my family and friends home from serving in iraq!!!!! our family and friends have a better chance getting hit by and ied in iraq thAN we have at a cross collision DUI.

there are too may ways to die, and we all will take one of those routes oneday. INSTEAD OF SPENDING MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF DOLLARS ON CAMPAIGNING FOR FUTURE PRESIDENCY,AND WHO CAN OR CANNOT SMOKE WHERE. MAYBE THOSE RESOURCES SHOULD BE USED FOR SOMETHING ELSE. SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE. LIKE BRINGING OUR FAMILY HOME AND TAKING CARE OF EACH OTHER? AND OUR NEIGHBORS.

  3. It does sound like a good idea, but you are encountering another hazard with that. IE: night time drivers exiting the ramp (some have blind areas) and colliding with the "stuck" vehicle, that may or may not have their lights on.

  4. It sounds like a great idea but it will never get passed because it is just like trying to get a stop sign or a light at a dangerous intersection, the city, state and government will always tell us the same thing, "IT IS NOT IN OUR BUDGET".
