I needed an unemployment extension in april of 2008, will they retro act payment if i am working now?

Generally unemployment is pretty strict on making sure that the deadlines for application are all met. If you failed to submit paperwork by a certain deadline, which it sounds like you did, then you are probably not going to get anything from them.

That said, it might not hurt to just go down to their office and meet with someone in person (that is, if you have time to spend half a day down there sitting in an overcrowded waiting room while unruly children sneeze on you).
