  1. how about wine carafes filled with grapes (fake or real) and have a couple vine tendrils coming out. Place several vine leaves around the bottom. I would make 2 "layers" around the bottom and create a kind of placemat for the carafe.

  2. Why not make your centerpieces do double duty as appetizers as well?! Baskets of grapes, fruit, wrapped hard cheese (swiss, cheddar, etc.) sleeves of crackers and a cutting instrument (slicer? shaver? knife?) on top of a cutting board. I imagine you will be serving a variety of wines for cocktail hour so this would be a good way to encourage your guests to get to know one another while sharing the basket and wines.

Many of these items can be purchased in bulk, therefore cheaper, Ask the vineyard what types of cheeses they would suggest and they may even have a distributor they use that would be an even bigger discount. Start watching for sales at craft stores for the baskets (and they all do not have to match). The cheese can be cut and refrigerated ahead of time, and then on wedding day have an assembly line with your bridal party to put them together - won't take long at all.

    Good Luck!

  3. here are some pics from a girl that did a wine theme for her wedding shower.

i love when people use the cork as place card holders.  it looks like she used it to write the types of wine.

  4. Fill large wine glasses with grapes.

  5. How about using an empty (pretty) bottle of wine with a few roses in it

  6. I'm confident that you could make a beautiful centerpiece with some grapes, candles, a wine bottle, and some rustic looking wreath like material.

  7. Try these. They look pretty easy to make.

  8. Why not place a bottle of wine on the table so that your guests can enjoy it?  decorate it a little with a personalized label, wine glasses, grapes, leaves, etc...

This would actually save money if you already intend on providing alcohol for your guests...

If you aren't providing alcohol, you could always do something with a nice vase with grapes...something that would tie in a wine vineyard.

    good luck...this sounds like fun!

  10. I saw the coolest thing a few weeks ago, at a flea market, of all places!  But it was really cool- it was empty wine bottles filled with white Christmas lights, and then a hole drilled in the back of the bottle for the plug to come through.  You plug them in at every table, like little wine-bottle lamps, and the effect is very pretty and twinkly, like fireflies in the bottles. Plus, it's eco-friendly, since you're recycling wine bottles.

  11. I'm getting married at a winery and just got large wine glasses ($50 for 12) then got some gel candle stuff to make them into large candles, the gel wasnt that expensive either and they turned out really nice, you could do white or red wine colors

  12. What if you did something like this? I think it would be easy enough to get some cheap materials:

You could always just get one wine bottle for each table and place some red grapes, vines and candles around the wine bottle. That would be simple and easy to do...
