  1. You are going to want to emphasize the good about yourself and downplay your GPA.  If your GPA is lower due to a situation where you had to focus on more than your studies, you would want to emphasize how you are able to successfully deal with multiple situations at once.  You also want to cover how studying abroad will improve you as a person: exposure to diversity, different lifestyle, different culture, etc.

Basically, you want to downplay the negative in your transcript and accentuate accomplishments, regardless of how small you may think they are, and how they make you more than just a GPA.  Then you want to emphasize how this experience will make you well rounded and improve you as a person.  Remember to make it sound confident without being arrogant.

Good luck! Studying abroad is an opportunity worth working extra hard on an essay.

  2. omg i have to do the same thing my GPA is actually 3.1 and i have to write an essay about myself and why i want to study abroad !! im going to paris (well hopefully if i get accepted!!)

  3. well some ways that you can study and better studying habits are....well you should sit at a table or desk or something in a chair where you are not really comfertable as if in a bed where you might fall asleep, dont listen to music or watch tv while studying, read the material your studying out loud to yourself it definately helps to hear it said to yourself, set aside times of the day for studying time so you make sure you study and dont blow it off hope this helps and you study better and get that GPA up

  4. Best way to get started - write an outline (I know, I know, I hate outlines too). But it gets your thoughts organized and then all you have to do is fill in the details - like one paragraph per outline point.

  5. There are coaching centres.  better approach them for proper guidance.  you are an interested student and should not be misguided.  Moreover, make an enquiry for similar students who done which will be helpful to you. we have stuff, but not upto date and giving with the old stuff will not yield good results, since subjects changing, syllabus rolling. Good luck to you. ok!!!
