  1. This is based on many years of experience trying to pick winners:I've read several books on handicapping; studied

the forms and charts for hours; considered the top jocs & trainers; carefully examined the track bias, dosage indexes,

Byer & Tomlinson numbers. Not to forget any class or equipment changes, layoffs, post positions, over & underlays and weather conditions. What I discovered is that on any given day, a horse and joc (or driver for harness racing) will do any dam thing they feel like doing! Many variables.

I've had ALMOST as much success picking white or gray horses or "cute" names  as I have handicapping. Learn some handicapping skills, it can't hurt, and listen to "experts"

with skepticism. Don't be intimidated.Welcome to the wonderful , joyous, and frustrating world of horseplaying.

Enjoy; and don't bet more than you can afford to lose.

  2. top 5 jockeys and top 5 trainers win most of the races...point blank.....

  3. don't try to make a living out of it and be consistant, i have found if i bet a superfecta on every race but one that would've been the one that i won, but if you don't want to bet exotics bet a $2wps on a horse or two a race and you'll come out a couple bucks ahead

  4. I always pick the horse based on its name. I won $250 on Banana Split once and I won $175 on Chocolate Drop.

    Hey, it works for me!

  5. Follow M jarvis and jockey P robinson.

  6. Go to the paddock, or watch paddock on tely then pick a horse with a good firm and fit looking back side! they usualy are very fit and ready for the job

  7. Forget all the stuff above !!!!!!.

Do you want to bet for fun or to make a living at it?

If for fun, you could do no worse than back the horse with the best form figures: i.e. 111 is better than 211 which is better than 222 etc.

If you want to do it for a living and have got a bit of a bank, then e.mail me and I will send you a system that will help you out!!!!

  8. Me neither but when i do i use this system. Look for a name you like then look at the jockeys jumper, is it a nice colour. If so then that is the horse you should bet on. Okay its maybe not the best system but i have a laugh when i do this, so does whoever is with me! lol

  9. When you go to bet, buy a program that shows the races and times they are running.  The program is filled with information that can help you bet, study it for 10 mins and find out how to read each race and the horses that are running in it.  The horses name, jockey, track condition, how he ran his last 10 races, how the horse finished, how much the jockey pays, how much the horse has paid out, how much the horse has won, what type of race the horse has been in etc..etc...etc.  This is why I find betting fun, there are multiple factors that can go into a bet and how you place your money.  I like to see how the horse ran is last two races, example if he finished strong or fell off in the home stretch.  Also a good jockey makes a huge difference as well, look at the percentage next to the jockeys name to figure out how much he pays out.  Good luck!

  10. I liek to bet on the horses every now and then, but man are they hard to pick the winners, especially in a Trifecta.

  11. First visit for you go and have some fun.

Then after you watched the races begin to read the racing form and follow the horses. You will get a feel for it and know when they are running well and when they are off.

You can make some money at this sport, but you have to invest a lot of time to win.

    Enjoy the first visit

  12. I have been betting horses for more than 15 years, and this is the best advice you can get: Play whatever you like!

If you like a horse's name, color, or your favorite number is 5, than bet that. There is no "guaranteed" formula for success in horse racing.

Actually, the only other advice I would give is to NOT bet on any horses, unless you know this will be a rarity in your life.

  13. Continue to not bet on horses.

  14. Study study study,  Knowledge is power and in this case, Money.
