  1. a big question here is how much space do you have to make a u-turn. assuming that the center island is about a lane wide, you should fall right into the next lane in a typical compact car. some tips:

    1. safety first. turn on your signal and always look at the oncoming traffic. since you're new to this, i suggest waiting for more space than you wait for at an intersection.

    2. go through the turn slow. this helps you achieve a sharper turn.

    3. crank the wheel all the way to the left as quickly as you can (without running your rear tire into the center island's ditch).

    4. maximize your lane. try running your car a bit to the right (as opposed to staying in the middle of the lane or moving to the left in a left turn) before doing the turn so that you eat up as little space as possible on the other side.

  2. If there is a U-turn signal then you wait for it, if not, then you wait until the light is green and traffic is clear, then make your turn. If you're U-turn is at a location without a light then apply the same logic. Wait till you have plenty of room and then make your turn.

  3. lol idk crank the wheel to one side and gas it

  4. Left turn signal, slow to a stop.

Check all mirrors. If the roads are clear, turn the wheel all the way to the left and go as far as you can without going off the road.

Put the car in reverse, turn the wheel all the way to the right.

Again, check all your mirrors and surroundings.

Back as far as needed to be able to make the full direction change.

Place the shifter in drive and make your way back to the correct lane for the direction you are traveling.
