I never knew my parents , i was a foster kid how could i find out and proove im cherokee indian ?

like i said i never knew my parents i was a foster child , however my birth parents were cherokee indian . my birth mom was full blood and my birth dad was 3 quarters. how could i proove this ?

If you know where you were born, go to the county courthouse and get a copy of your birth certificate.  The birth certificate has the ethnicity of your parents on it.  It's information required by law.

The easiest way is to file a "Declaration of Cherokee Heritage". You can do this at the Cherokee Heritage Documentation Center. The link is below. Be sure to include all the information you have that may help. In most cases, they will help you fill in the gaps and prove it.
