The striker insists that he has never regretted his move to the Bavarian giants despite limited playing opportunities.

The striker, despite the limited number of opportunities last season, has never regretted his move to Allianz Arena. He claimed that it was a big step forward in his career and is now willing to prove himself at the highest stage
with Werder Bremen.
Petersen is targeting to score many goals with his new side and admits that Werder Bremen’s style of play certainly suits him. The striker is looking forward to the start of the upcoming season and wants to show what he is capable
of in the next campaign.
“I never regretted the decision to move to Bayern. But I wanted to play and to know that the team needed me. Bremen made that clear from the beginning. They're an attacking side and I'm happy to hopefully be the one to score goals
for them,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Energie Cottbus player wants his current club to return to winning ways in the next season. The attacker is aiming for a place in Europe by the end of next season, a stage the side has missed out in the last two years.
“Recently Bremen hasn't had the success that it had in the past, despite always being a top-half side. In the last two seasons we haven't managed to get into Europe, but were always there in the years before that. That has to be
our aim for this season,” he concluded.
