I never want to leave Juventus, says Claudio Marchisio – Serie A Update
Juventus FC midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Marchisio-c9312, claimed that he was not close to a move out of Turin during the recent summer transfer window. There were many speculations regarding the future of the Italian international, however, the player made it clear that
he will not leave Juve and is keen on carrying with the Turin giants.
Marchisio is a Juve youth academy product who was called on for the first team duty in 2005/06 season and he quickly earned his spot in the Lady Killer’s midfield. However, during the 2010/11 season, due to lack of consistency, it was thought that Marchisio
would be unloaded from the squad. Juve had plans to revamp the squad to add quality players and the 25-year-old midfielder, was considered a departing figure at Turin.
However, the Italian international believes that Juve never lost faith in him and that was the reason he always wanted to stay. While recently talking to Tuttosport, the midfielder said:
“The truth is that Juve always believed in me. In the past, injuries have conditioned my career. Now finally I'm better.”
Marchisio has shown great improvement in the ongoing 2011/12 season where Juve are looking very consistent and ambitious to return to the top of the Italian top flight rankings. He has been able to find the back of the net on crucial moments. The midfielder
recently scored a brace against the defending champions AC Milan at home, registering a 2-0 victory for La Vecchia Signora just before the International break in the Serie A.
The midfielder is currently on the Italy international team duty in the Euro 2012 qualifiers, where he helped his team seal qualification for the main even. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Serbia-c3002, .
The recent consistent form has earned him a lot of appreciation and he has also been compared the former Italian and Juventus legend, Marco Tardelli. However, Marchisio believes that such comparisons do not intimidate him and he is focusing on being consistent
only.
Marchisio recently picked up an ankle injury; however, he has fully recovered and will return to join his national squad as they take on the Irish team.
