I no this might sound silly 2 ask but can parrots get chicken pox? pls no silly answer!?

my mans ex as asked him 2 watch his girls who have chicken pox cus she dont want her parrot to get ill, can parrots get chicken cus i dont think they can!

It is very important to wash your hands before and after handling your birds They can pass an illness to humans; as far as we know we can not pass an illness to them.

With new information being learned every day though; why take a chance of making our dear pets ill.

For now though; no we can not pass an illness on to them.

They do have complicated respiratory systems though so check out all you can on your parrots.

No they can not get diseases from us like that, but it is possible for them to catch your cold, handle them as little as possible if you ever get a cold or the flu.
