lint free cloth, but the speck was still there. When i zoom in, i can see the speck get bigger on my lcd screen. Is it the camera or is there just dust in the lense? How do i clean the lens as to eliminate all dust?

If the dust is behind the glass you can't clean it. A dust spot will not show up on your images however, dust on the image sensor will. Use a squeeze blower on the sensor to see if it helps. if you wipe the glass too much, you will damage the front element.
