and acknowledged his service to the country, the Democrats politely applauded. Today, when Sarah Palin brought up Hillary Clinton to acknowledge her, Republicans booed.... Is that pretty typical of the hate that we have seen that has taken over the Republican Party in recent years.

  1. Has Hillary served in the military before??? I don't know of any Republican who would boo someone for serving the country in the military as McCain did. Maybe you have your facts wrong! More likely they booed her for her poor POLITICAL service to the country, not military as is the case with McCain. Huge difference but nice try trying to obstruct the facts and distort the behavior - typical Dumocrat (I made up that word).

  2. yeah- they tend to be pretty petty and self-involved...  good observation....

  3. I know. Isn't the  so-called "moral majority" awfully disrespectful and rude? One of many reasons why I'm not one of them.

  4. No, I didn't.  I noticed, and I truly did notice this multiple times, that when the military was brought up at the DNC, there wasn't much of a reaction.  Mention of our troops would bring down the house at the Republican convention.  One time it was guy who said he was wearing his combat boots that he'd worn on two tours in Iraq -- no reaction, but then mentioned his states votes for Obama and the place roared.

The DNC is about Obama, not the USA.  It's past the Messiah thing now and is a bit more frightening.  Self over country.

  5. Really?  I haven't seen any of the convention yet.  I'm sorry to hear some folks are being disrespectful.  It makes their party look bad.  Don't they realize this?

  6. idk but go for barack obama

  7. Yes, that is so true

  8. Yes, very accurate observation. Liberals respect their fellow Americans and different opinions but hardcore conservatives fueled by right wing radio and Fox news see their liberal countrymen as enemies, not worthy of more respect than any other enemy.

This spirit goes that far it's even beginning to upset some more reasonable Republicans as is evident from this question a few days ago.

  9. Pretty much. No respect for anyone that opposes them. Sad isn't it.

  10. Since Bush and McCain agree on the majority of major issues whether it be Bush's invasion of Iraq, privatizing social security, or generating tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans and corporate conglomerates, they are also part of the "you're with us or against us" mentality.  No surprise that McCain's throng (no plurality here) of supporters would react to the mention of Senator Clinton's name with boos instead of applause reflecting a true lack of class and character.

  11. I very rarely see the rep. boo. But it is about time. The Dem's have been spitting in soldiers faces, throwing pies, holding illegal demonstrations, screaming at the top of their lungs at Republicans, marching on Washington, rioting when they loose elections, rioting when a verdict doesn't go their way. I think it is about time the Republicans showed some balls for once. The problem is Dem's view Rep. as being hateful, they view themselves as being just spirited.

  12. What were you watching?  I want to verify this.

I know yesterday, they whooped, hollered, and cheered.
