God is supernatural and therefore cannot fit into the scientific paradigm? Do you agree?

  1. This is a semantical sinkhole.  "Natural" means those things that have a rational, or scientific explanation, and "supernatural" means those things that are beyond such rational or scientific explanation.  That is, until science gets around to explaining those "supernatural" things, like disease and planetary orbits.  If there is a God, and science finally does get around to explaining what God is, how it (he) came into being, etc., then God would no longer be supernatural--God would have a natural explanation.  The reason why this is a semantical sinkhole is that for many, it's tactily POSITED that science will never be able to explain the "supernatural", or at least some kinds of supernatural.

  2. Yes.  God is not a scientific answer to anything, and as a supernatural being, science can say nothing about him/her/it/they other than 'He/She/It/They do not appear to exist'.  If anything supernatural - gods, ghosts, spirits, telekinesis, psychic powers, etc - could be proven or observed on any level, they wouldn't be considered supernatural.  Basically, we say they don't exist.

  3. No, I disagree. Science = God. God = science

Everybody will have different opinions on this subject, because it is not proven, but is also not disproved.

  4. if you can't test for it it's supernatural. its as simple as that.
