There was an incident with a bus in Chowchilla in the mid 1970's where everyone was dead, i'm a little hazy on the details since i was a kid when it happened, maybe someone else has some more info.

I believe this was a plot on Twilight Zone, but I'm not sure whether it was that one or Outer Limits.  They have varied it with sailing ships and jet planes, too.  

The Chowchilla incident had to do with a bus of school kids who were kidnapped.
