    that was the rumor where everybody thought he was dead. but that was a way long time ago!

  3. No, Paul McCartney is NOT dead. Even on wikipedia there is no articles about how or if Paul McCartney died. On the Paul McCartney website it says his upcoming tours and events. Obviously it is a rumor.

  4. This was a huge hoax back in about 1969-70 just when the Beatles were breaking up. It was fun to look and listen to their albums for the "clues."

This rumor was started in the '60's when the Beatles put out "Abbey Road" or "The White Album."  There was supposedly evidence in the music and the album cover that pointed to the "fact" that Paul was dead and had been replaced by a look-alike.  Somewhere in the music (maybe if it was played backward) was supposedly the phrase, "Paul is dead.  Miss him, miss him, miss him."  I googled that phrase and came up with this Wiki site:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_is_dea...
