Question:

I only eat 650 calories a day but I don't ever get hungry? Is this bad?

Here's what I ate yesterday:

Breakfast (10:30 AM): 1 fuji apple (90 cal); 1/2 cup cooked plain oatmeal (75)

I exercise everyday, burning at least 350 cal per session.

Snack 1 (2:00 PM): Frozen banana (90 cal)

Snack 2 (4:30 PM): 1 large celery stalk (10 cal) w/ 1 tbsp of peanut butter (90 cal)

Dinner (6:30):lots of veggies; 2 tbsp rice; 1 serving of fish; 2 small pieces of beef (300 cal total)

Is this healthy?

  1. That is defintely not enough food for a healthy person. You have the diet of a model or someone who is trying to lose alot of weight.

    650 cals altogether is not enough. Even if your dieting, you should still be having about 1500 cals !

    Sometimes you might not feel your hungry, because your body might have gotten used to this kind of diet if youve done it for a while.

    Also it doesnt seem your getting alot of fat, which you do need in small quantities... Fats from olive oil is good for you so maybe add that to the fish ..

    Eat more woman !

    if losing wt at least 1.200

    add boost or ensure ,carnation for enough vitamins

  3. no it's not healthy. you really shouldn't eat less than 1200 calories a day. eating like you are eating is causing your body to go into starvation mode, where it will store and hold onto any fat you have on your body. you are also causing your metabolism to slow down, which will also hinder your weight-loss efforts. you should also try to eat every 3 - 4 hours to keep your metabolism fired up. eating meals around 300 calories and snacks around 100 - 150 calories.  

  4. no it's not healthy at all..your just obbessed with your weight.

    Sure you can function, but not for long. you'll soon head yourself into all kinds of problems with your body, and develop dieases and sicknesses.

    it' is advised to never eat under 1200 calories....if you are really serious about staying so skinny..

    add some skim milk to your plain oatmeal...

    ...how about some yogurt with that banana?

    celery has no calories....but the peanut butter is great! how about some cottage cheese with that?

    for dinner, eat all the fish you want!!! its really good for you

    But you might really be going over 650 calories, and you just might not know it. measuring food is hard : ) (WHICH IS GREAT IN YOUR SITUATION!!
