Rather I use the amp for my PC (using ghetto rig to the MOBO) or as radio or CD I only get sound from the left speaker sometimes. I've checked the wires and they are taught and clearly in contact with the metal in both ends. Should I get new speaker wires? Or is it .... my ... speaker??

  1. This is perfectly normal. If you have an ipod, one headphone sounds different than the other sometimes, so it sounds like surround sound. If this only happens sometimes, dont be worried.

  2. You need to isolate the problem by switching your speaker wires from your left channel to your right channel and vise versa.

If the problem is still there, switch your RCA jacks on your receiver or amplifier in the back from left to right and right to left.   You need to do this with every componet up-line from your receiver or amplifer until you find the faulty component.  It sound like you may have a bad RCA jack.
