  1. 1 apply for financial aid at http://fafsa.ed.gov

    2. turn in an admission application at the school you want to attend.

    3. ask for a school schedule AND catalog.  This will give you an idea of the classes and when they are offered.

    4.  You will likely be asked to take an admission test, this is no big deal just take it and see how you do.  Many people are required to take remedial classes if they have been out of school awhile.

    hope this helps.

  2. You need to go and talk to the financial advisor at the college where you think you might attend.  And you should do it right away!  A local community college might be a good bet to start with -- you can always transfer out to a 4-year at a later time.  But talk to that advisor -- they have experience with cases like yours and they can tell you exactly what to do.  Good luck!

  3. Call the college and ask questions. They'd be more than happy to answer any you have.
