I'm 14 and last time I checked i weighd about 115 and I dont know my height but I should be 5 foot something. Every day (since its summer) I sleep in until at least 12:30 PM. I get up, eat lunch, maybe have a snack like chips between lunch and dinner, and then dinner, then I have like a half a meal a few hours before bed which is usually at least 4 AM. Before I go to bed I make sure I do at least 100 sit-ups and usually do 120, and all different workouts with my dumbells until my muscles ache and around 10 push ups. The next day I feel like I lost no weight, and barely gained muscle.

Can it be because I work out before bed?

  1. i do the exact same thing theres no difference when you workout . what your doing bro is just toneing. lift weights! the only way to get muscle. push up and sit ups basically just gives you that ripped look. your kinda light man 115? you need to EAT. i mean seriously eat everything. after work outs your muscles automatically start to heal introducing protiens sugars and fats will make your muscles grow.

  2. If you wanna lose weight you gotta do cardio and diet, and i seem to be the same as you with the muscle,i'm 15 and i work out at the gym 2-3 times a week for almost 5 months now i think and i swear its not doing anything at all.

  3. dude.. 10 pushups and 100 situps can probably be why there's no gain... 10 is nothing. dont bother with weights until you have something to build it on top of.

you dont' have to listen to my advice, but i woudl say do:

4 sets of 25 pushups in an hour.

4 sets of 25 situps in an hour.

don't sleep so late. it stunts growth. eat more protein. snacks dont help you grow.

if you want, email me with what you have aroudn your house and i'll make you a workout plan.

  4. not doing enough

  5. you're normal.  eat a balanced diet with lotsa protein, don't over do the exercising, and SLEEP!!

  6. Well I can give you several theories based on research.  One, studies have shown that muscle gain and recovery is best accomplished when a person eats food that contains some protein pretty soon after working out.  If you don't put protein in your body soon after working out, your body will not have the resources to build the muscle and it will reduce your results.    I would suggest a good protein supplement to eat after working out.

Also, they have done studies which have shown that different people respond differently to exercising, some can gain muscle rather quickly, while others on the same program will show little to no results.  Hopefully, you are not one of those people who has difficultly seeing results from exercising.

Additionally, the body will adjust to whatever exercise you are doing and allow itself to perform that activity but you won't see any physical results.  You need to perform different types of exercise and really test yourself to see results.  Additionally, at your age maybe you do not produce enough testosterone yet to see the results of strength training and your results will improve as you get older.  I don't think the time of day is that important, except that you are not putting protein in your body soon after strength training.

  7. work out in daytime

    u dig

  8. play ddr for 3 hours a day, it's fun and you burn calories :P makes your feet very sore tho

  9. dont work out so late and get more protien in u after u work out...lifting weights and gaining mussle takes time LOTS of time it doesnt just show over night thats why most poeple stop workin out after a while
