  1. most on line companies keep your credit card info on file in case you want to order something else......

  2. Yes they will keep it for a while.

  3. Argos

'No credit or debit card details are stored once your order has been processed. This is why you can save your favourite delivery address but need to enter your card details each time you order.'

  4. Yes, they will still have the details. But if you paid by VISA or Mastercard you have good protection against fraud. Also if you are worried you can ask your bank to re-issue a new debit card that will have slightly different numbers.

There is a way to buy single-use virtual credit cards, but I don’t know if it is widely available in the UK.

  5. Yes

Every shop, every website, every supermarket, that you ever used your card in has your full card details!

    Sad but True!

  6. Yes they hold them for a certain amount of time before destroying them. But your concerns about you bank details with big nationwide stores like argos should be limited, they will be put onto there computer and never seen again. Its just like paying with your card in debenhams, your pretty safe as houses.

  7. Yes they will be, different companies deal in different ways they will probably have records of the transaction for upto three years then maybe it will be destroyed but i am just guessing.

Whatever concerns you, maybe give them a call and they will help you.
