Question:

I overloaded my washing machine. It quit working. Is there some way to get it going again?

I put too many towels in the washer. It got jammed and then quit. If I take everything out will it work again? Is there anything I can do or is it ruined??

  1. you could try to take a few towels out and try to start it again. if that doesnt work try to take out all but a few and it should work.  if not then the motor burnt up or the belt that runs it broke.  you can tell the difference if the motor tries to run and it doesnt aggitate then its the belt... if it does nothing then it is prolly the motor... good luck!!!!!


  2. Mine does the same thing occasionally. You can remove some of the towels, then try it again. What I do is let the machine rest for a couple of hours, then it starts again. If this doesn't work, it's time to call repair.

  3. From being overloaded, it may have gone off balance. Remove the towels and try to reposition the inner tub, and the washer itself,  before trying it again.
